Itinerary DAY 01 KUALA LUMPUR – TAMAN NEGARA (Recommended hotel: Mutiara Resort) Taman Negara is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest, home of Tigers, Elephants, Tapirs, Pythons, Sun Bears … 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species… 6am Pick up from your hotel in Kuala Lumpur and on arrival at Kuala Tahan trekking to the Canopy walkway to catch a glimpse of the world’s oldest rainforest. (Canopy closed Fridays). The boatman negotiates 7 sets of rapids to reach an aborigine village to watch fire making and blowpipe hunting demonstration. Check in. Join Nature Guide for night walk to look for mouse deer, spiders and watch nocturnal animals come for their salt lick. 8.30pm Catch boat for Night River Cruise. As the boatman floats downstream, look out for elephats. tapirs lazing alongside the river. Enjoy the rainforest's night ambience seated on a boat deep in virgin jungle. DAY 02 TAMAN NEGARA - CAMERON HIGHLANDS (Recommended hotel: Camerons). 8am Cameron Highlands a hill resort with large tea plantations, farmlands. Tea Plantations are instrumental in drawing visitors to the highlands. Sip tea perched on an elevated tea café. Photo shoots. Take a stroll through Butterfly Farm and Vegetable market. Check in Recommended dinner the HOT POT. Bring sweaters as nights are cold. DAY 03 CAMERONS – PENANG ISLAND (Recommended hotel Golden Sands) Penang Island a major tourist destination. Diverse culture - Malay, Chinese and Indian communities. The main attractions are Penang Hill, Kek Lok Si Chinese Temple, Clan Jetties, Sleeping Buddha, Fort Cornwallis. Penang has beautiful beaches and Batu Feringghi is the happening beach front with water sports, dining options, luxury hotels. 8am Depart for Penang enroute bonus stop Orangutan Island (Subject to availability), visit Clan Jetties, Sleeping Buddha and drive through UNESCO Heritage City of Georgetown before drop off at your hotel.
