*Night River Cruise *Fireflies & Monkeys with Seafood Dinner Itinerary DAY 01 KUALA LUMPUR – CAMERON HIGHLANDS (Recommended hotel: Camerons Resort) 7am Complimentary pick up from your Kuala Lumpur hotel and depart for the Camerons, enroute bonus stop at Batu Caves. Climb 272 steps into temple of Hindu Deity honored during Hindu festivities. Ladies to be properly attired - knees and shoulders covered. The hill resort has vast tea plantations and farmlands. Sip tea perched on an elevated tea cafe and watch the undulating carpet of greenery below. Photo shoots. Visit Butterfly Farm to see live smaller animals and visit Vegetable market to see various flowers, vegetables and fruits. DAY 02 CAMERON HIGHLANDS – TAMAN NEGARA (Recommended hotel Xcape / Mutiara Resort) Taman Negara is a 130 million years old tropical rainforest, home to endangered Tigers, Elephants, Tapirs, Sun Bears….. 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species… Canopy Walkway closed Fridays, 7am Depart for Taman Negara and on arrival at Kuala Tahan, the tour begins. Walk up the Canopy Walkway for a bird’s eye view of the World’s Oldest rainforest. The boatman skillfully negotiates 7 rapids to reach an aborigine village for a fire making and blowpipe hunting tools “native” demonstration. The Experienced Nature Guide will belt out facts and taboos about Taman Negara. Check in. Join Nature Guide for Night Jungle walk to look for insects, spiders and watch nocturnal animals come for their salt lick. 8.30pm Catch a boat for a Night River Cruise. As the boatman floats the boat downstream, look out for elephants, tapirs lazing alongside the river. Enjoy the rainforest's night ambience seated on a deep in virgin jungle. DAY 03 TAMAN NEGARA – KUALA LUMPUR (Recommended hotel Traders) 8am Depart for Kuala Lumpur. Visit colonial buildings: Sultan Abdul Samad Building, St Mary’s Church, the Oldest mosque Jamek Mosque. Drive past Old Railway Station and National Mosque to colorful Little India and Bustling Chinatown. 4pm Depart for Kuala Selangor - home of largest fireflies colony. After frolicking with the monkeys adjourn sumptuous seafood dinner. Catch a boat to watch fireflies in their dazzling best.
